The Jefferson Blount-Harvey Building

The jefferson Blout-Harvey BuildingThe Jefferson Blount-Harvey Building is the centerpiece of uptown Greenville revitalization. This three-story building, built in 1923, lies at the heart of the Commercial Historic District in Uptown Greenville. When the Blount-Harvey Company opened this flagship store on Evans Street in April of 1923, it was the largest retail commercial building in Greenville. The store featured ready-to-wear clothing for women and men and was noted for the high quality of its merchandise and service.

Jefferson's Florist, under the ownership of the Glenn family, purchased the Blount–Harvey Building in December 2004. The Glenns undertook a painstaking restoration of the building's original stylized stone detailed façade under the architectural guidance of MHAworks. The revitalized brick and steel–framed building is further accentuated by festive decorations and lighting during the holiday season. Its restoration exudes charm and grace in Jefferson's 6,000 square foot showroom, The Martinsborough Event Center, Elizabeth Richards Collection, Matt Holder Salon, Copper & Vine Kitchen & Wine Bar, & Signature Jordan Interior Design.
